Let me be honest, I don’t like the term “coach”, except of course when it’s being used in relation to Ted Lasso or other similar sports trainers.
“Coach” makes it seem like I’m going to tell you what to do and you’re going to do it. But that’s not the way leadership growth works. If you treated your employees that way, they’d be frustrated with your micro-management.
